The article that I selected is Instructional Effects of a Performance Support System Designed to Guide Preservice Teachers in Developing Technology Integration Strategies. This article discusses how technology is increasing in the educational environment and the many challenges that teachers face with implementing instructional technology. In order for teachers to implement meaningful learning, it is important for them to be properly trained how to integrate instructional technology into their classrooms. The article also states that “if teachers are well prepared to integrate technology properly in their classrooms, then they are in a better position to promote learning and empower their students to use technology” (p. 442).

The insights/ideas from this article can guide the use of technology to support learning achievement is that because young children are active learners; they need different instructional methods to help them with their learning process. I have to be properly trained in order to be able to select the different technological tools that will help think critically, solve problems, utilize games and simulations, work cooperatively and independently, as well as, strengthen my teaching and promotion of learning in my classroom.
